About the event:
Robo-Soccer is quite similar to real-life soccer. The main difference is that there is only a single robot which handles and scores the goal. The Arena comprises of 2 goal posts on each player’s end.
a. The Robot should fit into a box of 25cmx20cmx10cm.
b. The Robot should not weigh more than 3kgs.
c. When using the electric power supply, the voltage at any point on an individual component must be lower than or equal to 24 V DC at any point of time during the game.
d. Robots can we wired or wireless.
e. Pre-assembled kits are not allowed. Using of such kits will lead to disqualification.
f. Use of Lego parts or pre-assembled kits is not allowed.
g. The robot should be capable enough to score and defend goals.
h. The minimum length of wire between the bot and the controller should be 6m.
“Compliance with all event rules is mandatory. It is expected that competitors stay within the rules and procedures of their own accord and do not require constant policing.”
1) The robot you build would be first checked for size and safety.
2) The robot shouldn’t cause electrical power breakdown.
3) The robot must not contain any combustible, corrosive, or otherwise dangerous materials.
4) No explosive, compressive or expansive, either internal or external is permitted.
a. The teams will have to submit their bot to the organisers before the start of the Competition.
b. Only those teams which submit their bots will be allowed to participate.
c. The bot will be handed back to the team during the time of their run. They will be given 2 minutes to do any hardware changes and calibration of the bot if they wish. If the teams are found to alter their robot after depositing their bots, they will be disqualified.
d. The game will last for 6 minutes.
e. The bot is not supposed to damage the arena.
f. A point would be added to the team on scoring each goal.
g. In case of draw, golden goal will be played.
h. Teams are expected to not damage the opponent’s robots
1) Johnson motor is allowed.
2) Centre/Side shaft motor is allowed.
3) No other motors allowed for this event.
“ANY ROBOT WHOSE STRATEGY OR OPERATION IS CONSIDERED DANGEROUS CAN BE DISQUALIFIED BY THE JUDGES AT THEIR DISCRETION. DECISION TAKEN BY THE EVENT HEAD WILL BE CONSIDERED AS FINAL DECISION AND NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE.”contact
